Nurse advocates in the UK have urged us to help raise awareness of their serious doubts about the recent conviction of NICU nurse Lucy Letby

The UK nurse advocates told us that they believed efforts to move against Letby for the deaths in her troubled NICU began after she started questioning the quality of care at her hospital. Our contacts said that efforts to remove her were unsuccessful within the health system, and that the physicians responsible had to issue a written apology to Letby. But our contacts stated that the physicians’ efforts to move against Letby had more success with the police and the courts.
We will have more on Lucy’s case soon. In the meantime, we are hoping some of your weekend reading will include this New Yorker article which lays out many key issues. Thank you for taking the time to consider Lucy’s case.
